(Greenfudge) Slovenia has 93 species of freshwater fish, 33 of which are protected under the law. Trout is the most popular freshwater fish for many Slovenians who view it as a delicacy. However, for a very long time there were no organic trout available for purchase in this country. The story behind the nation’s first organic trout farm demonstrates that the natural way is also sometimes the harder way.
